Betty Rademacker
Town and Country Extension Homemakers celebrated the 90th birthday of member Betty Rademacker when they met April 10, 2015, at the home of Sandra Provan.
Rademacker blew out candles on a cake and received gifts from co-members.
President Joanna Doskocil led the Pledge of Allegiance and Homemaker’s Creed. The roll call was answered by telling why you were given your name. Provan read the minutes of the March 12, 2015 meeting, which were approved. Shirley Reinfurth gave the treasurer’s report. Coins for Cancer and dues were collected.
Doskocil and Reinfurth reported on the district meeting in Plymouth March 19.
Upcoming events: The International Fayre will take place at Salem United Methodist Church April 25; Betty Thomas, Reinfurth and Doskocil will attend. Lend a Hand Day is April 29 and the retreat and Cultural Arts Show is May 21 at the extension office. The Home and Family Conference is June 9-11 in Indianapolis and the 4-H flower sale is May 1. The club will sign up to watch the fair booth in July.
The June meeting is a trip to Shipshewana for a meal and show June 11.
The next meeting is May 14 at the home of Thomas, when members will talk about something new.
