LaPorte Police said a man with a handgun robbed the LaPorte Burger King on East Ind. 2 and struck the drive-through employee in the head on Jan. 7, 2017, shortly after 1 a.m.
The drive-through cashier told police that a gold-colored, 4-door sedan pulled up to the window and the driver, showing a handgun, told her to give him all the money in the register. She said he grabbed her and struck her in the head with the gun. She gave him the money in the register and he drove away, last seen heading east on Ind. 2.
The cashier declined medical treatment.
The suspect was described as a white male, thin build, wearing a dark hoodie, stocking cap, gloves and scarf that obscured part of his face.
