The LaPorte Police Department is crediting information it received through social media for apprehending two burglary suspects caught on a security camera.
“Due to the overwhelming response and tips from the photographs posted on the department’s Facebook page, I’m pleased to announce that both suspects in the burglary case have been located and charged! I’d like to personally thank all those who provided information on this case. Without your help, this case would not have been solved so quickly!,” Det. Jim Ferguson posted on the department’s Facebook page July 24, 2013.
LaPorte Police released the images July 20 showing the suspects at the LaPorte home.
