Hanna Helen Ohlund died as the result of a car accident on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013. She generously donated her organs through IOPO, heroically saving the lives of at least eight fortunate people. Cremation has taken place.
She was the daughter of Tim and Jackie (LeRoy) Ohlund.
Hanna was an Aveda hair stylist and educator at Timothy Jeffry Salon in Michigan City, IN. She was a graduate of Aveda Fredric’s Institute of Indianapolis and a 10-year member of the LaPorte County 4-H Horse and Pony Club. She loved horses, especially her pony Rebel, and her dogs, Lucy and Mac. Hanna was a talented jewelry designer and avid fashionista with an extensive shoe collection. Hanna loved her family, her friends, and especially her best friend and love of her life, Devin.
She is survived by her parents; her sister and best friend Emma Ohlund; sister Tara (Matt) Young; brother Sven (Charity) Ohlund; boyfriend Devin Wolford; grandmother Patricia Gault; grandfather Ed LeRoy; grandmother Mary Jo LeRoy; aunts Julie (Dave) Bennethum, Jane (Jim) Archer, Jeana (Nate) Smith, Sandy Ohlund, and Joanna (Sam) Neal; and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Hanna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Roger Gault, and paternal grandparents, Sig and Eleanor Ohlund.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Heston Hills, 1833 E. 800 North, LaPorte. The family will be accepting friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Heston Hills.
