Jayla Ann Abdullah was born Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at 7:35 p.m. at IU Health LaPorte Hospital. She weighed 5 pounds, 5 ounces, and was 19 1/2 inches long. Her proud parents are Anwar and Jena Abdullah.
Also welcoming Jayla are her two big brothers, Anwar (Iben) Abdullah, 11, and Aydin Abdullah, 1. Jayla’s grandparents are Teri and Gary Smith of LaPorte and Ameenah and Mustafaa Abdullah of Holland, MI, and her great-grandmothers are Barbara Smith of LaPorte and Hattie Hayward of Dubai.
