An informational public meeting on the Maple City Grand Prix boat races will be held May 7 at 7 p.m. at LaPorte City Hall. Information that will be provided to the public will include race schedule, ancillary events, parking, shuttle information, and more, according to a press release from the City of LaPorte and the county visitors bureau.
The Maple City Grand Prix will be held May 31, June 1 and June 2 at Stone Lake in LaPorte.
“The Grand Prix is going to be a great event for everyone to come enjoy and it is crucial we keep our community involved and informed, especially with any new event,” said Mayor Blair Milo. “The City and the LaPorte County Convention & Visitors Bureau are excited to share our plans with the community and keep them aware of street closures, parking opportunities and more so that everyone may enjoy this great event coming to the area. We especially want to make sure the residents around Stone Lake are able to enjoy the event as much as those traveling to see it.”
