LaPorte Police Department K9 Handler Matt Drangmeister is taking orders for a special T-shirt promoting the department’s K9 Program. The front of the shirt features the program’s logo, and the back features a larger image featuring a police dog and the 
words, “Evil seeks darkness, but K9 owns the night.”
All proceeds go directly into the department’s K9 account to help cover costs associated with maintaining the program.
Several colors are available: white, off-white, red, blue, sports gray, purple, green, orange, pink, and yellow. The cost is $20 for adult sizes (add $3 for every “X” after XXL), and $15 for kids’ sizes (call about kids’ sizes).

The police department Canine Unit will also have a display at the 2nd Saturday “Dog Days Downtown & Rescue Avenue” event on Sept. 14 from 3 to 7 p.m. Matt will be taking T-shirt orders at that time as well.
