“Local Lore: Genealogy Chat,” a series that will explore historic elements of LaPorte County, will kick off with speaker Sue Harmon on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Indiana Room at LaPorte County Public Library. (This event was rescheduled because of the snowstorm.)
The series will allow those researching their family histories to discuss their findings and share stories of their ancestors. It will also be an opportunity to gain information on how and where to research their family tree.
Harmon searched for her family history and found many fascinating stories of her ancestors, including a story of how a family member was killed by a tiger in the United States. There will be opportunities for all to share their stories and genealogy findings.
