Samuel “Larry” Hill, 54, of LaPorte, died Aug. 22, 2013, at his home.
He was born in LaPorte on July 23, 1959, to Omer and Dorothy (Belcher) Hill.
Samuel worked as a meat cutter for Al’s Supermarket. He was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed fishing.
On Dec. 18, 1987, in Germany, he married Nancy (Manino) Hill, who survives.
Also surviving are his beloved son, Nick Hill of LaPorte; aunt, Judy Belcher of Georgia; mother-in-law, Violet Manino of LaPorte; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bonnie Hill; and brother, Michael Hill.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, with Fr. Eduardo Malagon officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2 p.m. until the service. Cremation will follow the service.
